Is it really that good yall? I watched the first episode and loved it, but could never get through the 2nd. I've literally attempted to watch it 2 times and just never remain captivated.

Its very good. There are some YouTube explained vids I would watch after each episode, like 15 minutes long that helped pull everything together and make sure I didn't miss anything, which happened to be a lot lol, especially the first 2-3 episodes. Once I did that, I really got into it.
