Like the Release Some Tension album... I don't think it was that bad besides every song having a featured rapper on it... I love their sophomore album New Beginnings and their debut is pretty good. I remember Taj said Coko was the reason the album was pushed back a year because she got pregnant
I don't think any of the members do
She fuckin hates Someone
one of my favorites albums.
They all hate it.
When U Cry>>>>>
Isn't that the one Rain is on????
:dead:
QuoteAnd how about the third album?
By the third album, I was pretty hurt, so I was like, ?Well, I?ll just take my services elsewhere.? Around that time I signed a production deal at Atlantic, and one of the first things I was going to do was work with Brandy. So I end up in New York, and Brandy?s recording at Puffy?s studio, Daddy?s House, with Kelly Price doing vocal production. I had a demo of "Rain," and I played it for Brandy, Kelly Price, and Deric Angelettie?D-Dot. So we turn it off, and Brandy is like, ?This is gonna be crazy!? Somebody went and got Puff, and he sat down and I played it. At that point, I?m not even a blip on the radar. Even having done all that stuff, I still don?t exist in Puff?s world.
Rain was supposed to be Brandy's.
their best album
Bitch now that you've mentioned it, I hear Brandy on a bit of Rain in the backgrounds. Wait Queens
/
What happened??!
Overall, it's my fave album from them. The other albums have great songs but are sandwiched between lots of filler. Every song on RST was enjoyable to me. "Rain" stays in most of my playlists also.
Ehhhhh vray leeeeee tle dreeeehp daaaaahp jaaaaaAAaaAAAAhhhst....

Wow! I wish she had elaborated more. Was his before the album? Why would Puff pay her dust if he was featured on it.
I love that song and that album.
Lelee confirmed the urban legend that the song is about someone cumming on you, so it would have been hilarious if Brandy recorded that song.

This is Brian Alexander Morgan's interview with Complex
I would like to hear Bran cover Rain now
she would KILL the harmonies
I thought the song was about love being soft and refreshing like raindrops...real innocent and stuff...
my world is shattered.
rf
It's a horrible album
i think they hate that "era".
what was happening to them more-so than the music.
kind of like how i feel brandy shades "human".
i think she despises the "era" more-so, and the music just gets the lashing (short end of the stick).
Too much internal conflict within SWV.
What do y'all think of New Beginnings? I think it's safe to say everyone likes the debut! I love the original Right Here better than the remix
Not rain being about a cum shower.
New Beginning is their best album IMO.
The interludes alone>>>>
I Missed Us slays too!
Their debut for me>>>

I know it doesn't but he said he signed a production deal with Atlantic and was going to work Brandy initially. And he did play Rain demo for her, maybe he had her mind to record it before giving it to SWV.
QuoteSWV was doing their album with Puff at that point?
They had done half the album with Puffy?it was almost done. Shortly after, I get a call from RCA. Somehow it has gotten out that I was doing this song on Brandy?s album. The A&R guy goes, ?Man, look, this won?t really be a SWV album without a Brian Alexander Morgan cut. We heard about this song you got...? I stopped him right there, and I?m like, ?You guys didn?t release a single one of my records on that last album. Why would I give you anything?? I?m like, ?I?m perfectly happy with Brandy doing this record,? and hung up. A couple days went by and something political happened, and then people from Atlantic called like, ?They can have that one. It sounds like SWV anyway.? I kind of already got paid to do it through the production deal, so all of a sudden it became all right, RCA wants to pay me again for the same song? So I switched my focus and had one of the easiest sessions I ever had with Coko because she really loved the song.
It's really interesting what goes on behind the scenes in the industry
when it comes to music. A similar thing happened with No, No, No by DC
Vince Herbert was threatening Columbia that he would give it to Bran
if they didn't take it

Wow Brandy has quietly vocal produced for so many lmfao
This is cool to hear cause Bran loves Coko's voice. She gave her major props in an interview she did during the Human era.

!!! And someone asked her TLC or SWV and she quickly praised Coko and said she'd go with them for the vocals
