I've been getting into her whole discography recently. Her artistry and vocal abilities really came to fruition in the mid 90s.
These songs are pure gems :stressed:
I do love her 80s stuff too, especially the debut album and True Blue. But her vocal in Open Your Heart makes me YELL. gfgfdf She sounds like she's dying a painful death. Still LOVE the song though, it's fun.

The entire "Erotica" and "Bedtime Stories" albums

A whore with a microphone.
Squid bby.... how would you rank her 80s mess?
For me, it's Madonna (Debut Album) > True Blue > Like A Prayer > Like A Virgin
I'm sorr' but the Like A Prayer album is so overrated :uhh: All that boring pop-rock mess 😴
I've been listening to her lately too..
American Life
Bedtime Stories
Something To Remember
Ray Of Light
:plzstop:

She truly has contributed nothing of value to the culture
Can't sing, can't dance, ain't cute, is hated by virtually all of her peers
Drop dead already

I would rank it the same. :dead: :ohwow:
Like A Virgin is kinda boring apart from Material Girl and Angel. I love Nile Rodgers but that album sounds a bit dull.
I never cared for Like A Prayer (the song) but it's growing on me. The album has a lot of filler tracks, but Cherish has always been a fave of mine. :howfestive:

Something To Remember is a great compilation album. I heard it for the first time last week and realized that I have forgotten about the existence of You'll See. I probably haven't heard that song in over 20 years. :dead:
Her 80s mess outside of singles is my least favorite
Her debut album is a gem tho

I always said/thought that Madonna's debut album was very inspired by Black music (hence why it aged the best). I wasn't surprised when I did some research and found out that Black radio stations were the first to play Madonna's music. Also, most of her debut album was produced by a Black man (Reggie Lucas).
Like A Prayer
Take A Bow
Secret
Are some of my most favourite songs of all time.

I heard ppl thought she was black at the time since her debut single cover was faceless + the post-disco sound
