They also shared Robin Thicke wrote 3 songs for the album but only 1 made it.

I cant see this. Was this her attempt to cross over to urban chars. I never viewed her as a urvan artist. I like nessa music though.

She worked with Keith Crouch on Apart.

But I wish she had worked with Something for the People again. They laced those album cuts.

I was just thinking about how Bran, Aaliyah, Monica, etc. were teenagers singing music that appealed to multiple generations. I feel like I'm general that was the goal for an artist back then...now all the mainstream girls want to sound childish and young

I think the album being a Funk album also helped.
It translates well for live performances.
