So I've had Comcast/xfinity internet and it hasn't been the most reliable
I work from home so even if somethings down for half an hour during business hours that's a huge problem for me .
But I kinda had to just work around it cuz xfinity was pretty much the only tea in town with high speeds
Not anymore doe!!! :woohoo: bitch I got a flyer from Verizon letting me know their 5G home internet tea is available and I had them out to install this morning
For now I have both services just in case ... my plan is to call xfinity and make them pay for my new service by cutting my bill down considerably ... or threaten to give them the BOOT! :cheerup:
Comcast has been known for their less-than-stellar service but for the longest time they've had a stronghold on certain areas because of no competition . I mean if there's nothing else to choose from in ur area that's comparable u can't do anything but bitch and complain :omf: and eventually keep paying that bill
But now ... balls in MY court :justabit: this gon be fun! Cant wait to call them lolz
Ideally I'll keep both services to be extra sure I'll always have a connection either way... with just a bit of difference than what I'm paying now

The speed with Verizon is really good so far and I kinda like that it's a fixed price overall instead of tiers of service at different prices etc
Comcast better get their shit together because no ones paying for cable anymore . Pretty sure the internet is what's keeping them afloat

Xfinity is terrible and very unreliable.At the height of the pandemic, there would be an outage every Monday morning.
Your best bet would be to email corporate.They are easier to deal with than phone support.

I have Xfinity and have very minimal problems. Extremely minimal. Maybe I just got lucky for the area I'm in.
Verizon is better than Comcast but they have horrible support. I have Fios not 5G and its so expensive and unreliable.

I feel the same way. Comcast SUCKS. It's gotten to the point where I have to use the public wifi in my own home sometimes. They have a monopoly in my city, so I can't get Verizon. Other internet options are entirely tooooo slow for my workload.

keep checking to see when/if Verizon 5G is coming to ur area ... they seem to be expanding quickly .
The 5G home service relies on a tower signal as opposed to a lot of cable wiring underground etc which I think is making it easier for them to expand that branch of their service, whereas their FIOS tea needs all the wiring and stuff

Imma keep verizon and xfinity for now just to be on the safe side . It's probably a better idea to have backup/two sources of internet anyway if you're super reliant on it. The chances of them BOTH being down at once is slim.
