"I HEAR UR MUSIC!!! :fuming: "
i honestly dont feel bad for rent a center at all
they intentionally market their services/products to people with bad or no credit
make a shitload of money off of people renting things they could very well own if they just saved up the money for a little bit and was patient.
especially moderately priced electronics used for entertainment that someone def doesn't need immediately.
they're basically profiting off of people's need for instant gratification .
it's almost predatory to me. it IS predatory.
and they should expect to have a hard time getting payments or even some of their inventory back from the demographics they target
play stupid ass games, win stupid prizes
What type of shit is this? Surely there's something in that contract that says that if you don't make payments or return the merchandise, that after several notices and pick up attempts, the card on file will be charged for the full price or the charge will go to collections. No employee should ever do this.
Not do she still at work at Popeyes. I guess you have to provide proof of employment too. Like renting an apartment. Screaming

it's dangerous ass work . takes a special type of person to feel comfortable knockin on people's doors
and even BANGING violently like that guy was to get mess back, not knowing what type of people they're dealing with
but it's def stated in the agreement that the merchandise much be returned if payments aren't made. kinda like leasing a car. u don't pay they take it back.
i think a lot of people are just so excited to get the merchandise and to quench their need for instant gratification that they don't even read the fine print and just sign off on it.
and rent-a-center is trash because they literally BANK on people making these poor decisions and target those who may be struggling more than others - whether they be financially or with credit etc.
and people have actually been arrested and charged with felonies for failing to return mess after nonpayment.

That's a reasonable action. Charge them the entire price of an item or file a stolen merchandise complaint with the police to scare them into returning the shit faster. No employee should ever be BEATING on doors or carrying on like this. There are safer and smarter alternatives.
I don't feel bad for La'angel. Losing your job is one thing but that don't mean you REFUSE to return the people's TV.

yeah I could see someone maybe holding on to a fridge for long as they can to preserve food / groceries and Save money
But they out here catching cases for flat screen TVs and PS4s :disgusted: shit that u don't even really need like that
At some point it is theft. U have something u know u don't own and ur refusing to return it after the owner demands u do so.
That's wrong.
And There's a lot of wrong on both sides . But ultimately RAC is trash for these "deals" they give the gorls
Sad part is by the time they miss a payment , the amount they've already put towards renting-to-own these things could have bought them the product outright with no strings.
Imagine putting $1000 of rent for towards a piece of furniture worth $700 then having it taken cuz u didn't fulfill the entire contract mess , that with interest and their crazy markups , comes to $3000
They're trash and they know it
