Louis Vuitton menswear designer Virgil Abloh has died of cancer at the age of 41.
LVMH, the French holding company that owns the luxury fashion brand, said on Sunday that Abloh had passed away earlier that day after several years' private struggle with the disease.

This!
Cancer is horrible and we often see these famous people 'living their best life', but you just never know.
I was also so shocked when I heard about Oliver Rousteing surviving an explosion. And basically hiding his injuries from the outside world. He almost lost his life, I'm glad he made it.
Really unexpected.
Fashion icon.
RIP Ghanaian King

i can understand why they keep it to themselves
some people don't want a bunch of "are you OK? how's the chemo going? praying for you! thoughts n prayers! thoughts n prayers! did i say thoughts n prayers? just in case i didnt...thoughts n prayers! :'( " messages and comments every day
not to say it's wrong to want or welcome that. but i get it
they'd rather carry on as usual and deal with their mess behind closed doors.
not everyone's gonna treat their personal illness as some big announcement with a press release . they value privacy during such a tough time, and don't want the "sick person" treatment.
i dunno what id do in a situation like that. there's no "wrong" way to handle it.
but my heart goes out to virgil's family.
Oh no
No more terrible designs :(
RIP
