Yeah it's not a huge deal for the companies ultimately but I feel bad for the employees. Especially those who may take their job a bit too seriously and try to stop one of these people . They're def giving people LOADS of time to approach and confront them

It makes sense now. Looks like a lot of states are now decriminalizing what they describe as "petty theft". It seems like what used to be a felony is now a misdemeanor - as long as the theft is under $1000 , and doesn't involve weapons or bodily injury to anyone.
This could explain why these people are taking their time with their edgy shopping experience. Vvvvvvvvvvvv
I actually think that's fair and makes sense. I mean is $1000 worth of merchandise really worth someone spending a minimum of 5 years in jail ? Especially if no one was hurt or super traumatized by deadly weapons being drawn?
And it will protect a lot of much younger people who do stupid things...and give them an opportunity to turn their life around. Jobs usually ask if you have any felonies on your record before hiring, not so much misdemeanors.
This guy here is casually loading up on cosmetics for the upcoming ball it seems :omf: while this white lady risks her life for Walgreens by recording him and putting herself directly in his path, instead of just letting the security guard handle it however he sees fit.
