If that were the case I woulda kept my mouth shut until the final rent payment was made and the actual owners handed me the deed to the house .
And I woulda got the agreement in writing . If it ain't on paper it never happened.
And even if "rent to own" is the case ... he just announced the "purchase" only one year ago. If u couldn't even make a year before falling behind on ur mess you HAD to know in the back of ur mind that u couldn't affford the rent or at least that it would be a challenge to keep up with payments ... before agreeing to rent it .
my heart goes out to todrick because he's definitely at that age where he's gonna want certain things to be in line for himself. Which would include homeownership for some people. But u have to be smart. He is WAY too successful to be even dealing with this type of shit.
it's kinda heartbreaking for me at the end of the day. Just like it was with Andre Leon Talley. At the end of the day this is still a beautifully gifted black gay man in a tough spot . I can't help but to feel some type of way about that .

True and I also can imagine it takes a lot of money to keep making content and music videos. Even though I'm not his target audience I can see he is very driven. He seems like a perfectionist, if you have high expectations and want to be a big superstar it's very expensive. You need to invest a lot of money. He should pay the people who work for him of course and maybe he just needs to have someone in his team who knows what's realistic. You can't really make productions like Gaga and Bey without a record company that pays the bills and a big big fanbase.

Kempire also mentioned that even if you don't like him, you have to acknowledge: for this young man to own a house and live the dream is a big accomplishment. It's very inspiring to see someone work hard and reach their goals. It could be a rent to own situation..maybe we will learn more later.
It's just difficult to trust his words, I think CBB wasn't a good look for him. There are too many people who wanted to help him and genuinely supported him but got screwed over.

I def had some must-haves for my "dream home" which actually included it being a condo but I also made a lot of compromises so I wasn't over extending myself financially. I found a balance.
I think u should actually live a bit BELOW what u can actually afford to do.especially when it comes to housing costs. If ur not able to comfortably spend extra money AND save or invest a BULK of ur money AFTER ur done paying ur rent or mortgage and
ALL of ur bills.... U def fuckin up in the game .
Even if you qualify for a more expensive property take it a step or two down to give urself wiggle room. U wanna be super comfortable . Not stressing every month .
He needs to take a step back and regroup and really make sure he has shit figured out .
