At the Oscars last month, Will and Chris shared a heated exchange over a joke about Jada's hair — and to the shock of viewers and audience members, it turned physical. Jada suffers from alopecia, reportedly unbeknownst to Chris at the time.

it really a combo of the source and whether u feel the story is believable enough
but considering that will smith was allowed to accept his award at the oscars and give some big speech afterwards, it wasn't unbelievable that the oscars were not absolutely demanding that he leave. lol which made TMZ's story actually make sense. a lot of sense.
