I believe Paula's debut era was at the end of the 80's which trickled into the 90's plus she had another successful album in the early 90's

Yeah her debut was huge, I remember almost all her songs did really well and the album itself sold big numbers but I honestly can't remember a song on any other album of hers besides Rush, Rush. I just looked it up though and she had another #1 besides Rush, Rush called A promise of a new day (I have never heard this song before) most of the rest of her singles were top 40. I had no idea, those songs must've been played on white radio stations 🤷🏿♂️
Both Rush Rush and Promise of a New Day went to No 1 on the Hot 100 plus another top 10 song. Also a 3x platinum album and a gold album during the 90s.
But you're right, that does seem high.
This list doesn't make any kind of sense

Wow I'm being told Billboard has been in coordination with the latest RIAA updates and have been updating their lists :sobusyjetsetter:

wwsddssd
while we're makin up lists and claiming they're directly from an official source lemme make my own
shit .
whoever wants their fav on it cashapp me a coin
Wow Mariah was just unstoppable :shook:
I think they just rated singles higher than album sales when most people would count album sales more.
mons being top 10 has u gors fuming in here huh
This list is based on chart points (positions) 100-1, not actual sales.
That's why the list may seem off for some people.
But it's not - considering how they compiled the list.
For example:
A song could be #1 for 10 weeks and sell 1 million.
And a song could be #1 for 5 weeks and sell 5 million.
Because of the position chart scale, the #1 song at 10 weeks will chart higher, although the song at #1 for 5 weeks sold more.
They combined all the position chart points from different charts to come up with the list.
