QuoteKelela has finally announced a follow-up to her 2017 album, Take Me Apart. The new record, Raven, is set to arrive February 10 via Warp. A song from the record, "On the Run," is out today. Yo van Lenz, Kaytranada, and Bambii produced the track alongside Kelela herself. Check it out below, along with the tracklist.
In a press release, Kelela said, "I started this process from the feeling of isolation and alienation I've always had as a black femme in dance music, despite its black origins. Raven is my first breath taken in the dark, an affirmation of black femme perspective in the midst of systemic erasure and the sound of our vulnerability turned to power."
The ambient duo OCA (Yo Van Lenz and Florian T M Zeisig) and LSDXOXO are the album's main producers, and Bambii contributes additional production.

Maybe because the vinyls take long to produce? I just got an email from Blackground and Barry said my vinyls will arrive in the first quarter :plzstop: they got problems...
I almost wanted to cancel and just get the Urban Outfitters One in a million, but I read horrible reviews about the quality of the green vinyl.
