The soul cypher was amazing
Has anyone uploaded it yet?

They put me onto this great gay artist I hadn't heard of before

He kinda slayed all the gorls in the cypher with like one exception

Overall a great show ... as always

Kandi has the worst tone but it's really dope that she has the range to sing the lowest notes and hit those high falsetto notes

Xscape are giving Justice League with these outfits, they're getting too old for that mess. They all sounded great though, even Torcha learned some new runs  :ATLcameo:

Xscape sounded good but their set seemed to short. And all that time they spent on "Tonight", they could've easily added two more songs

Who is Kandi's vocal coach though?! It's kinda crazy how she hasn't mastered her lower register yet. That should be her pocket
Title: Re: Soul Train Awards performances

She sounds comfortable in her low range. Especially to be moving around and projecting at the same time. It's just her unpleasant timbre

But the timbre of her voice should be nicer in that range if she's really contralto.

She wasn't the lead singer... tiny and Tameka both said Kandi and Tocha lead so many songs because they would get to the studio early and fight over the lead while tiny and Tameka would always be late and just take whatever they were given

JD actually gave Kandi more leading parts than anybody he mainly wanted Tocha doing ad-libs and unnecessary runs that was his doing that she's on all the songs doing what she does
