I'm of Ashkenazi descent (thru my grandfather) which is inherently a mixture of Israel and Eastern European/Slavic.
Usually tests just pick up "Ashkenazi" (which I've gotten on multiple tests) but there was one test in particular that did NOT have an "Ashkenazi" category and instead broke it down to Israel + Eastern Europe, as those were the only references available to them.
Which I honestly thought was very interesting as most times I just get "Ashkenazi". As I did here:
Ashkenazi result (6-7% , as is to be expected from a grandparent's grandparent)

It even picked up very specific regions in Russia where my GG Grandmother was from. Whereas before I was just getting more ambiguous and general Lithuania/Russia results. So that was cool too. :woohoo:

I'm 100% east African but my DNA test says 60% east African 16% middle Eastern 12% Levant region and 12% Nortj African. A lot of East Africans get similar results. A lot of these mixtures are from thousands of years ago. My recent DNA (past 500 years) is mainly East African and some Middle Eastern.

I never said I marched through any reservation or even traveled anywhere to meet with anyone but I did say I was in contact with a tribal leader who was very welcoming and willing to help me sort things out with the information I had at the time. (Vague and general "Native American" result and a record referencing Blue Ridge Mountains in VA written records by someone who was into genealogy that I was far too trusting of).
I also later admitted on here that I was wrong about my guesses. I took the L on that one, but obviously you missed it.
For a long time, many reports gave me a very vague "Native American" result, leaving me to - once again- shoot in the dark guessing which Native American tribe or area I actually came from.

I never said I marched through any reservation or even traveled anywhere to meet with anyone but I did say I was in contact with a tribal leader who was very welcoming and willing to help me sort things out with the information I had at the time. (Vague and general "Native American" result and a record referencing Blue Ridge Mountains in VA written records by someone who was into genealogy that I was far too trusting of).
I also later admitted on here that I was wrong about my guesses. I took the L on that one, but obviously you missed it.
For a long time, many reports gave me a very vague "Native American" result, leaving me to - once again- shoot in the dark guessing which Native American tribe or area I actually came from.
Such as this one: (Which also picked up my Eastern European/Russian/Jewish DNA)
