it's so much easier to do when its just you holding urself accountable for mess that affects you
but once ur dealing with someone else who you've brought into ur life..someone u really care about
and u do or say something to hurt them ...something they didn't deserve. and u know for a fact u hurt them so badly that u wouldn't blame them for walking away
in this case, the hurtful thing being creating distance and intentionally pushing them away from you
it takes a different type of strength and growth...and self-accountability to reach out and admit you fucked up knowing the ball will be completely in their court as you sit there vulnerable and open af .
but you gotta do it or...OR.... simply let your pride win...and your need to be SKRONG! win. and risk regret, possibly for the rest of your life.
luckily for me, being truly self accountable didn't end bad for me. but you need to be prepared for that too. even if you end up being hurt yourself and things dont pan out well (and if you hurt someone they have EVERY right to say im good), you at least tried to correct YOUR wrongs and YOUR sabotage.
