isn't a cover supposed to show your own rendition?

yall always talking bout "not for this song" etc...
well guess what? everyone isn't brandy so you cant expect them to the deliver it the way she does
when you cover a song you're not supposed to sound like the original
you're supposed to make it your own

and I mean if you got the vocals to do it, why not?

She can BLOW

Saying someone's voice doesn't fit a particular song or seem as believable, isn't necessarily an indictment on their ability :dead:

Just like there's certain songs my faves shouldn't touch. That's fine

I already stated in the thread that she can sing, this just doesnt suite her, PERIOD!
I wouldnt wanna hear Brandy sing the power of Love or All By Myself, doesnt mean I dont think she's amazing

That was cute. But the thing is, any skilled gospel artist can do what she just did. She took her time going up and down the scale with those runs. But can she execute it cleanly to the beat.
