I know some of y'all prefer to wait til u get ur food to tip but
these drivers aren't reading ur minds and may take 0 tip on that order as 0 tip
at least she didn't have the nerve to take the tip too after leaving that note
And try to order from places that completely and tightly seal your food. Also, keep your own fav drinks in the fridge so you can avoid having to order "fountain drinks" which are easy to open and close. Like the one this driver was holding
Especially if you on that "I ain't tippin shit" tea

How can you not tip someone who properly SERVES and/or DELIVERS your food?

However, baristas and takeout..

They really shouldn't jump to conclusions if you're making a delivery tho. Some just prefer providing cash tips.

Not that I would ever use an app where a random stranger delivers my food to my house :uhh:
But if I did I would definitely tip before they brought me my food just so they don't have more reason to mess with it

hehfjfjf
do u eat at restaurants luv
If so I hate to break it to u
But a random stranger may be handling ur food
Another reason why I don't use these apps. I go pick up my food myself.
I totally understand it from the driver's perspective. You better pay me.
However, some people prefer to tip in cash because they want to make sure it all goes to the person providing the service.
Ppl who work these jobs need to find another additional income source because depending on ppl to voluntarily pay a non fixed amount for your service and getting angry when ppl don't pay is kinda silly to me
As a person who does tip and did do Door Dash for a short time
Tipping on the app will get you your food faster. Some Uber Eats drivers will decline a pickup if they see there's no tip, and then they have to keep searching for drivers.
Take the cash and give me my food :scrumptious:
I always thought the tip amount didn't show until after the delivery. :mmyulost:
Oh well, those delivery apps are too expensive anyway. I'd rather pick my own shit up. :fuming:
I'm actually wondering why the driver took the order
Unless DoorDash doesn't show the tip until they've accepted/agreed to pick the order up
Honestly that would be fucked up

Not u hitting "accept" to see a big 0 there. I can see that pissing someone off. As i imagine accepting an order and then un-accepting it could probably count against the driver . So in that case they'd feel "forced" to deliver a tea with no tip.

It doesn't, it shows how much they'll make for the trip and the distance
If it's under a certain amount they just won't accept it.
But I actually ended up deleting the delivery apps.
Between the markups from the restaurants to cover the cost of the delivery apps, the delivery fees, the tip, it makes more sense for me to pick it up myself honestly.

in other words , you should assume the driver will see what you have or haven't tipped in one way or another
@bby ddy They've obviously figured out ways to calculate the mess using the information provided
That driver in the OP concluded that the customer left 0 tip in the app, and was clearly accurate as the customer had their cash tip in hand waiting for them at the door
Don't have that boy out here leaving 0 tips thinking the gorls can't clock it or just won't take the order.
This driver in the OP took the order and clocked it , and then contemplated messing with that customers food

ultimately you're just paying for the luxury of laziness.
On a Sunday afternoon the last thing I wanna do is get up and go fetch something.
I'm still reasonable with the drivers and will meet them at the front of my building instead of demanding they find their way up to my place.
Ultimately it's just a food delivery app, not your personal assistant or maid.
When I wanna be completely and utterly lazy for a weekend I just go to a hotel for a lil staycation and get room service.
Very rare but whenever I feel I've earned that level of laziness and pampering I'll do it for myself.
I gotta tip for them alright. I spend a disgusting amount of money on Uber Eats. Too lazy and too busy and who finna do all that cooking and cleaning up?
Yeah I live in the suburbs and have a car but I started using doordash heavily when my anxiety went thru the roof. I also have dashpass thru my credit card so the fees aren't as bad.
I don't carry cash at all so I always put my tip in the app. It does let them know how much they will make off the delivery so they don't have to accept it if they don't want. You can also increase your tip after the delivery, which I've done before. The delivery gorl was out of line, but to each their own
