Title: humbling tactics: how to spot + deal with them
Post by: bedtime stories on May 05, 2024, 09:26:17 AM
so u got it goin on. congrats boo.
ur confident. that's awesome.

however, be advised that some may have an issue with how things appear.
envy/jealousy is a natural human emotion. some just deal with it better than others.

my personal definition of "humbling tactic": an unprovoked verbal assault on a specific aspect of one's existence which is intentionally designed to bring one "down a notch".

rule of thumb -> if you have to ask yourself "where tf did that come from?" you are most likely dealing with a humbling tactic.

do NOT engage. walk away from the situation.

if you find yourself taking time to argue with them, YOU got some personal work to do. and that's a whole 'nother conversation.

if you MUST vent about your experience in some way, text a friend

or better yet, text your man. if you got the right type of man, he is on standby ready to entertain whatever you have to say ASAP.

but just keep it classy, keep it pretty. and keep it moving.
