Amerie's production and songs on the album were great, but her voice is dreadful.
Ashanti was the most basic album that could have been released that year.
Out of the three shown in the photo. It's an easy AMERIE.
I think I've listened to ALL I HAVE more than FULL MOON and I have listed to
FULL MOON about 75% of my life so far. ALL I HAVE is just such a classic album.

I never took Ashanti seriously as an artist and I didn't really appreciate Amerie until a decade later.
Yea, something about Ashanti seemed a bit forced. Microwaved radio friendly R&B.
But she looked cute and was relatable.
Bitch, y'all just reminded me. When I really think about it, I wonder how many of these albums would I have actually given a listen to if Aaliyah didn't pass. The labels were really pushing the mess out huh :plzstop: . Can't really say, even in hindsight because most of these are genuinely good albums but I dont know if the teen stan me would have given these albums a chance if Li was still there able to entertain me. Let me find out I trauma bonded with these albums
Amerie easily.
Then Tweet.
Tweet was it for me. :stressed:
Didn't buy or get into Ashanti's album until she release Happy. I needed the Foolish hype to die down a bit.
I didn't get into Amerie's debut until later in the year or early 2003 when I purchase hers and Solange's debut.

Amerie's sound was such a sweet mix of Aaliyah and Mary J. Blige.
Her name is like a mix of them too.

The way she lured us in with two bops and then gave us a neo-soul classic :receipts:
