Yeah.Even though I've heard Tambourine and Let Me Blow Your Mind in recent TV spots, those numbers do seem high.

...who has several hits, a lot of the later ones were crossover too. And I think all her albums went platinum. Like, this ain't Trina :uhh:
I still can't imagine how this is possibly more lucrative than keeping your publishing and have steady income. It probably is, but it sounds so crazy to me. The music industry is in such a bad state, it's sad.

Well, you are lying just a little bit...
2 of her albums went platinum, but you didn't know about the others and neither did anyone else...

True. I appraise that at $10M, MAX.

This is what I was thinking also. 20 years ago we didn't hear about people selling off their catalogs like this

It's not that hard to imagine. Streaming produces peanuts for owners and the purchase of music is almost non-existent. It's important for artists to own their masters at some point but it's more lucrative to know when to sell since they'd never make the amount of what's being offered for their music.
I think it's smart business on her part.

Yeah, hearing things like this makes me sad.
Music is so de-valued.
Well get some money Eve. Does that mean the music career is officially over? Or?

Her music career has been over for 20 years if we're being honest.
