Few minutes left until half time
Go Eagles! Jalen Hurts is so FOINE
:ohwow:
Touchdown for the eagles!!
Serena c walking sent me!
that was terrible
Excellent performance. It's getting world wide praise
I feel like he did too many new songs for me. Still a superb performance visually
The performance, the video game concept, and the visuals were great... but the set list was terrible.
He performed wayyyy too many of his new songs. He should've performed his classic hits from his earlier albums.
And that abrupt ending was terrible :uhh: I felt like the performance lacked an iconic moment
social media saying it was mid
damn

!!!!!!
I feel like I'm trying to force myself to like it. It just wasn't good. I think they were so desperate for a political and cultural moment in history, overlooking that Kendrick just doesn't have it to carry a Super Bowl. It felt more like VMAS performance.
He brought Serena out and dissed Drake. "Wow! Legendary."

All of this.
The whole time I couldn't help but think Kanye would have eaten this up
I think the visuals are important since we now live in trumps America so I think that should count.
It lacked energy but he is not Drake that has the kind of pop songs people know and sing along too other than Humble and Not Like Us.

By the way... this kinda proves my theory that rap music just isn't made for the Super Bowl.
Rap music just doesn't translate well to a massive stadium stage. The half time show should be reserved for pop artists and rock artists. These rappers really don't know how to put on a show.
If we're being HONEST...
Maybe they SHOULD have got Lil Wayne to do it after all...
A Milli, Lollipop, and Back Dat Azz Up would've brought more energy than this Kendrick mess
:diddraispoot:
It was a really good show but the music was meh, I loved everything about it except for the music. We have a problem when Not Like Us is the "best" song..

I thought Dr. Dre did a great job a few years ago. But he brought out Snoop, Em, Mary J, and 50 Cent. People know their songs even if they don't listen to rap music.
I think Kendrick did a good job putting his music into a show, but he doesn't have songs that everyone knows and they don't translate well onto that big stage.

!!
On top of that, Kendrick performing with Dr. Dre and co. was MORE than enough. A headlining show from him was unnecessary.
That being said, I love how uncomfortable he made white America and the production for the show was superb. Overall great job but would've been better from someone with better singles.
Kendrick DOES have songs that ppl know and can sing along to.
He left out
Swimming Pools
Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe
Poetic Justice
Loyalty
I think those would've gave the performance more UMPH cuz he is a great performer for a rapper he has the stage presence and the personality on lock

He has the music
But for some reason didn't perform it
I get what he was trying to do but Super Bowl is where you flex your catalog of hits.
The performance was just ok to me.
He wanted to showcase the new album...simple.
It was a good performance, especially if you are a person smart enough to catch all the little nuggets he put throughout
He was on a mission to send a message
Like someone else said, some people came in looking for a Beyoncé/Rihanna/Gaga style pop performance. He's not that

Also the culture got a LOT of love in the intro to the game. They had Master P, they had the Southern University marching band playing Boosie songs, they had Ledisi and John Batiste singing the National Anthems, they had ppl marching through the streets of New Orleans and Lady Gaga also sang for them, they had Harry Connick Jr and a gospel choir singing. There was no shortage of NO culture on display. If they wanted Weezy they can go to one of his concerts where he barely even knows the lyrics

What are we gonna do about that mouth of yours?
I got a couple free knuckle sandwiches
He did what he could.I can't think of any male rappers who could've did better than Kendrick except Diddy.
Couple things
The song choices could have been better. He could have done some amazing things visually with Swimming Pools and Alright(again).Performed Poetic Justice and brought Janet back.
He used part of the biggest moment on his career, with 133M people watching, to focus on Drake
Hmmmm I think maybe you didn't see the whole performance or didn't catch his delivery. He did more than clown Drake lol
