if the mission is truly "saving souls" then it would just make sense to create an atmosphere which is comfortable for all people
YoYo's heart is in the right place but it'll be a tough thing to tackle because a lot of men who are deep into church culture are battling their own desires, and men lead the church for the most part.
but still, Black church culture is still an amazingly unique experience...even with all its imperfections considered.
The true Queen of Gospel
:ohwow:
I wouldn't want to be a part of something that considers me an abomination :caseoftheherp: but open that heart sis!
Jesus's blood is sufficient for all sins, including homosexuality

I love her for this. Lowkey most modern Christian's dgaf, but it's good to see someone with her platform actually speak out.
I know they are calling her everything but a child of God in them comments and posting every scripture they can think of to dispute what she said
She was just in Hell's Kitchen musical too
Hope Queen has money saved up cuz she might be in trouble
not them in the comments accusing her of being a DL lesbian

honestly when I encounter Christians who believe homosexuality is a sin there's logically not much I can say to them
the book that Christians follow literally has scriptures in it (book of Leviticus) that kinda says a man isn't supposed to lie down with another man
and if they do, it's an abomination.
as long as the person isn't being disrespectful to me, i can respect that they're following what's in the "holy Book".
personally i see the Bible as a book with amazing stories/characters. like, AMAZING writing and concepts. and nothing more. but if someone literally takes it as gospel, I get it.
a lot of people fail to realize the ROOT of this all of this nonsense is literally in that book
but because many gays are "Christians" ourselves we'd rather hold individuals responsible for following it and ignore the scriptures that seemingly call us out
which is typical Christian behavior tbh. skim over the tea that offends or holds you accountable and enjoy the rest. and DARE anyone to point out the mess you have chosen to skim over

however, there are some people who are way too HYPER-focused on the seemingly anti-gay mess in the Bible. that's when it gets weird and becomes a witch hunt tea. but if someone tells me "i don't believe in that cuz the bible says XYZ" ....
i mean i'm not gonna sit there and MAKE them accept that some men like to get some dick and have relationships with other men. u don't believe in it cuz of the storybook you hold dear to ur heart...coo. got it. if u can accept that i feel that book is some made up tea with literally 0 evidence to support the idea that any of these characters exist/existed, then i can certainly accept that u believe in it.
now what's for lunch
Yolanda is truly an exemplary Christian, so many can/should learn from her. She seems like she has the best heart.

I knew it was coming
Especially working with Alicia ccdcfvg
It's hard for me to take Christians seriously when they harp on homosexuality being this inexcusable sin. Meanwhile, ignoring the scriptures that say they shouldn't be eating shellfish, fornicating, and practicing adultery.
some people def hide behind the bible to justify their own deeply rooted hatred or even self-hate.
i have encountered a Christian who doesn't believe in homosexuality as per the Bible
she said it right in front of me but it was only because there was an actual conversation involving homosexuality/men dating each other.
she put her two cents in and then quickly kept it moving along
i could tell she didn't want to make an issue about it or intentionally cause conflict.
as in: she didn't just bring it up completely unprovoked just to make sure she got a "hear ye hear ye" moment on the topic
i can respect that. i mean it's in the Bible and she's a devout Christian.
to me it literally felt as if she just wants to try and fully follow what's in the book. was i thrilled about it? no. but i can understand that.

I just don't understand why so many Christians want to play God instead of letting him do his thing.
If whatever you believe is a sin really is and that person will be punished on Judgment Day then let that happen when it happens but in THE WORLD it's not illegal so move on
