Besides his personal life, I get that he's a good entertainer but his music isn't good at all :ummwhat:
I'll never understand the hold that crackhead has on the black community
Without one classic album
Crazy
queen was high and talking
actually, it looks like someone said it off-camera and she just went with it. she was ready to go
I would say CURRENT King of Pop. Yes, I agree

I've always felt this but was too afraid to say it out loud. He is highly overrated. His vocals and music are subpar. I guess, though, it's because he dances and 99% of black male singers don't dance. THEN mix in being tall and yellow and the superstar recipe was sealed.

Guys, be nice.
:omgwatshappening:
Yall say this, but then can't find someone else who could be better known as "King of Pop"
i don't think there is another king of pop... yet. but there will definitely be another as time goes on.
There's only one King of Pop and it's MJ period.
Does Chris even get airplay on Pop radio stations?
I will say King has been putting out good songs. Residuals was iconic and this current song with the Usher sample is dope too

!!! I don't even follow Chris but I feel like his last 2/3 albums were very R&B
Black people give this crack head too fucking MUUUUUUUUUCH. :uhh:
He hasn't even played on Pop radio since like the late 2000s
part of me thinks she said that strategically to get some press for her new alber

Chris Brown is immensely talented. an amazing performer and just full of a special energy
to be fair i think there's just as many people who underestimate him as those who overestimate him.
but something tells me jill crafted that response
Still awaiting who would be the current king of pop. Next in line is probably King Bruno

Bruno would definitely be in consideration for that title before Chris

Maybe. Kings are neck and neck
Chris >>>
if we're talking who is next up for Mike's crown
the LAST thing Michael was...was a copy-and-paste tea
Chris is super creative . You can tell he's INSPIRED by the gorls but he brought/brings something COMPLETELY fresh to the table
Michael actually stole a lot
But Bruno is more global than Chris. I don't know. Maybe Bruno is the current King of Pop

"study the greats and become greater"- MJ. MJ studied all the greats and became the greatest
But something Michael didn't do was continue to evolve. As great as he was, he gave us the same song and dance (literally) through the years. Doesn't take away from his greatness, but his final album and tour could've been the same album and tour that "Dangerous" was yeeeears prior.
So NOW when I think of it, maybe Bey is the current King of Pop.

Yeah!
:ATLcameo:
I'd def say fas over Bruno as well
She is clearly inspired but not a karaoke act

Michael had classics like Billie Jean, smooth criminal etc....that people wanted to see performed in the exact same way every tour, if he was alive today and had a tour people would still want to see the same moves cause they were just that iconic, he didn't need to evolve much

That's fine. You can still do those same dance moves when you are touring. Janet does the "If" dance the same way she did it in 1994 and Bey does the "uh oh" to "Crazy in Love" every tour also. But by the time "Invincible" came out, Michael was CHASING the others in the industry and his way about creating material was very recycled. Rodney tried his hardest to bring Mike into the 2000's, but the same ole formulas didn't help.

it's different with Michael because he was famous since he was a literal child. He evolved and kinda plateaued when there was nothing else higher to achieve
When the Michael Biopic comes out in April, everyone will be reminded who the real King of Pop is....box office numbers and streaming numbers are going to be crazy
To be fair, after Prince's death, he pushed more units than Mike did after his passing
