and it just speaks to how problematic the Bible is IMO
their logic for storming the church was: "a pastor has the NERVE to be working for ICE. What a HYPOCRITE!"
but, the Bible actually SUPPORTS that type of work.
"Obey the law of the land" ... is in the book of Romans. So someone working for a law enforcement agency is actually cosigned by the oh so holy Bible.
if they found the pastor to be guilty of a CRIME that would be different and def hypocritical.
and when you really get into the tea and how CONVENIENT a lot of the tea in the Bible is:
🫵 "Obey the law of the land"
🫵 "Pay your taxes"
🫵 "Don't be a FAGGOT"
🫵 "Submit to your husband"

I think it's because currently ICE is grabbing and killing actual citizens
and racially profiling people

that's been going on for decades with police officers
unless the person in question was directly involved the logic of "you're a hypocrite!"
kinda falls flat
like you really have to find a ROUNDABOUT way to support/explain it - like you just did.
it's not a straight shot.
thanks to the oh so holy Bible <3
They had no right to storm that church, it's not like that particular agent/pastor caused harm or killed someone. That's like saying all priests should resign from their positions because a good amount of them are known to sexually-abuse others. Morally-compromised, likely, but not illegal.
