Chante
this was probably one of if not the hardest one ive seen
i had to pick Chante
she can get powerful and soulful like Keke and Fanny but she also can get softer and more sensual and dainty like Tamia
i'd say she's the most well-rounded of the singers.
and the bitch sings DOWNE live
she is criminally underrated
Technically it's probably Keke
But I don't like her, so I'm picking Fantasia. Tamia and Chante are really strong singers too
They all can SING downe. Fanny is AMAZING live. Like, I was in awe when I saw her perform...
...but none of them are doing this.
Gorgeous ass Chanté is my pick :howfestive:
Chante

Yea, Tamia second.
Always with the lower class pick
Anyway, it's between Chanté and Tamia. Obviously.
Whoever made this collage, I wish they tossed Jazmine in because that debate would really be a difficult mess.
Tamia for me
SKILLED? a battle between Chante and Tamia. But maybe Chante (but I prefer Tamia's voice all day)
All great singers though
Yall are giving Chante a LOT in here because of her whistle register.
Cuz when she tackles a song without that...
Well part of a "skilled" singer is being able to sing in that register...
Hmm I don't think range has anything to do with skill

It sure does. Being able to do so is in training your vocal chords :uhh:
You're both right. Every person a range that their voice "naturally" has, which is where contralto, soprano, tenor etc definitions come from. But, you can train your voice to sing higher/lower.
So, I wouldn't say Chante having a whistle register makes her skilled but I would say her still having a strong whistle register - at her age - is absolutely due to her skill.

it is not. And honestly most vocal coaches tell singers not to do it
Anyway, of all of these girls Fanny is the best singer, Tamia is the best vocalist :howfestive:

I don't know how to say this, but you're absolutely fucking WRONG. And relax. No one is saying Tamia isn't also a great singer

as someone that has actually studied this topic Im not
and I don't stan for Tamia
Just giving the knowledge that singing higher notes doesn't make a singer more skilled
yea, chante

We do a lil grade school project on it? Stfu
It's a tie between Chante and Tamia
I have seen all of these ladies live (except keke) and they are really all great. Fantasia is the best performer but chante and Tamia really are just WHEW. I didnt like Chante's song choices on that lil Asian shit but she definitely IS amazing without those whistle notes, let's be clear
I'm going with Tamia
Well Tamia has technique and the most pleasing tone out of all these ladies, so, her.
Tamia's tone is so rich :stressed:
This why I will Always love fantasia. None of these girls have THIS
