these 3rd party companies contracted by Google/others went to Africa (Kenya) to exploit them with cheap labor
and subjected these people to sit through sorting all types of crazy shit to help train the AI models to catch inappropriate content
i 100% believe them when they say they saw the craziest mess which caused them psychological damage they weren't prepared for.
just imagine SIFTING through some of these weird American white men's sick fantasies with animals and children and gore (and the combination of all those things at once) and everything else. and they didn't see it coming because the "help wanted" ads were vague and they're def not familiar with how people get down in this country.
they're now suing them.
and being subjected to that for even 1 minute without warning calls for a substantial payout IMO.
imma catch up on/research the lawsuit later...but i hope they got/get every penny they're looking for. that company knew exactly what they were doing and was 100% sure these African people would just be thankful and stfu. Not quite.
