I just watched the clip tho. I love Ciara. I gave her flack for years for not being authentic but I think she really is now.
She basically explained why music doesn't love her back in the same sentence. She's always "chasing" a damn hit/trend. She lost all originality and swag.

I think she's authentic.. she just doesn't translate it into her music. Her music feels so inauthentic. Anybody can be singing these songs..
It's not music that doesn't love her back; it's the people...the masses.
This just goes to show you, no matter how much money you have or your industry status,
