She didn't sound like this a year ago on tour or on anything she recorded at that time. I know it's only a few seconds but even the way it's mixed, you can hear more comfort and clarity in her voice. It sounds effortless compared to the Ty dolla and Kehalni songs that I do not like at all
I don't know for sure but she was filtering her lead vocals for the last year or so and her lead vocals are more "in your face" on this snippet. Hopefully it sounds just as loud on the track itself and not just his rehearsal space because that's how a Brandy vocal should sound.
