Title: it's hard to digest that Blacks make up only 12% of the population

I think it's because we stick together in our communities, etc. we kinda have our own world with our own built in culture, etc. so it seems so much bigger than it really is on a larger scale. 12% of 319 million is no small number , but still.

Minority indeed. I feel like it's higher but they make it seem smaller tbh..

I've been to places in America where they've never seen a black person

It's shocking but it's more common in the Midwestern regions I believe

That and we make up 80% of the jails

Crazy when you think about THAT

It's kinda hard to also accept that we're still living through times of great racial divide. We more than likely will not see the time where it doesn't matter, but as more racial mixing occurs , like you said it will die down. But this is decades , even a century or two down the line though, IMO.

We're usually highly concentrated in certain areas/cities. That's why I was so surprised when I saw 12% :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:
