some say wow yeah she is a great singer
the stupid ones be like well so and so is still better :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: :young:
I feel like that's the mentality the gp takes with her album never say never. Most people say that's her best and she'll never top it. But I feel like folks only say that because that was when she was most popular.

Well thats exactly what it is. Most people equate being the best with selling the most or popularity
Brandy's voice wasn't fully developed when she peaked commercially. A lot of people don't consider that. Her stage performances at that time didn't help either.

!!!!!!!!
She was going thru a change vocally, she had developed that whole stage fright thing, etc. I remember arguing with a hoe in college that said brandy talk sang, she was specifically talking about never say never shit, tho we were way past that. Her performances at her peak are the reason people questioned her ability

People act as though Brandy fell off the face of the earth. Like, do your research before you use an album from almost 20 years ago as your only reference.
If I had a dollar everytime someone said to me , brandy ???moesha ?? I haven't heard about her since the 90s . She's still making music ? Fucking kills me
This is a great topic. Lemme contribute when the board is busier.
I had one person try to say her voice was "weak". Ppl hear Brandy playing around with runs or hear songs like the ones on Afrodisiac with the layering and lush vocals and think that's ALL queen is capable of. She honestly has had the most growth vocally. Each era she's given us something different. Idk why but I just LOVE the shit she did with her voice in her first era when compared to the NSN era
But more than ever now a days I know a lot of people praise her vocals , mostly singers . I notice that musically inclined people worship her but the regular basic girls don't hear her genius . It's very interesting
!!!!!!!!!! In the past, before the Two Eleven era, I had to always prove Brandy's vocal ability. But now after Two Eleven and with her just clowning around on insta and YouTube, people just KNOW. She's definitely praised and respected by everyone now and I don't see people really questioning her at this point.

!!! Maybe a few every once in a while, but it used to be really bad back then. I got into some heated arguments :dead:
I couldn't believe when people were sayin' Brandy couldn't sing. :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:
Really, Brandy...Brandy Norwood? Are yall deaf? :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:
I was like Brandy, girl, you have to shut these people up! Don't let these people think you can't sing! :kii: :kii: :kii:
