i actually agree with this.. i don't know HOW real it is, but I know it's real to a certain extent. I definitely believe that's why Bran always refrences God more and her purpose dealing with God cause she doesn't want this cult knocking at her damn door in any way form or fashion.

Her and Monica could BOTH still be top acts if they dabbled in that stuff (look at how long Whitney longevity was)and I think she was kinda involved for a minute but wanted to get out,and when she wanted to start getting out that's when her voice started attacking her (cause she had been smoking cigarettes since she was a teenager).
