Just finished reading Chuck Palahniuk's "Invisible Monsters."

Also, give these a try:

"Dry" Augusten Burroughs
"Americanah" Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
"Visible Man" Chuck Klosterman
"Consider the Lobster" David Foster Wallace
