Title: Speaking of TLC
Post by: Marilyn on July 03, 2016, 08:47:57 PM
Did y'all think this deserved to flop? I loved this upbeat, female anthem. I loved the futuristic Asian and African tribal scenes. I loved the kids and cartoon tribute to Lisa. I loved the cameo from Tron and Chase. This was a cute comeback track to me.

This is a group that would be lost if any one of them were gone.

It's crazy.
Cause Left eye did the rapping, no singing, etc.
And still without her, it all fell apart.
They all were apart of the foundation of the group.

Didnt their last album have Lisa's raps ? (I have no clue, never listened) I suppose they'd find some MINOR sales if they had some of her raps in a vault that they will be tossing on the new mess.

yeah they've been lost without left eye.

Holding competitions/reality shows to replace her then deciding to use just the girl for one song.

begging fans for coins via kickstarter.

Very true. No one in that group was meant to be solo.

It's crazy.

They all were apart of the foundation of the group.

Left Eye was TLC's backbone. She was the visionary and creative one of the group. T-Boz made their songs unique and stand out with her voice. Chilli...she was cute

Yes to Left Eye, Yes To TBoz and not TEW MUCH on Chilli
Cause she was my favorite
She brought that smoothness to the group and her look slayed
Gorg

I said she was cute. Oh wait Chilli was the dancer of the group. :dead:

TBOZ is actually the real dancer.
That girl.
:plzstop:

Then what Chilli's contribution???

Singing and dancing too. Lol. And her look.

Their chemistry is what mattered.
The BLEND.
This is TLC, not some random girl group.
Lol.

Yeah their chemistry was undeniable. They just mesh well together.

You see my father was a wise old man
Always creatin a plan for me to conquer this land
He said I am what I am
So be the best that I can
And if them others don't like it
Then why should I give a damn (huh)
Maybe so cause when his life wasn't right
My mother picked up them pieces
And continued on with the fight
So now it's plain to me
It ain't no game to me
See mom and dad corrected math, 1 and 1 equal 3
4 and 5 I count my sister and brother
Stay alive till we die

Very true. No one in that group was meant to be solo.

They all were apart of the foundation of the group.

Left Eye was TLC's backbone. She was the visionary and creative one of the group. T-Boz made their songs unique and stand out with her voice. Chilli...she was cute

:uhh:

3D low-key slayed

!!!!!! Much better than Missy's Can You Hear Me? mess

And yeah 3D was a solid album.

For the longest I thought I loved it more than I should have cause I was a fan of theirs. But now hearing it again after all this time... it slayed. Wow.

I wish Turntable was one of their single choices

They can still do great songs for sure.

Solid album but they were so lost without Left Eye.

Hands Up tho :stressed:

This is a group that would be lost if any one of them were gone.
Their chemistry was crazy.

Very true. No one in that group was meant to be solo.

It's crazy.
Cause Left eye did the rapping, no singing, etc.
And still without her, it all fell apart.
They all were apart of the foundation of the group.

Some straggly ass baby hairs, a six pack and that fetus she aborted?

Solid album but they were so lost without Left Eye.

Hands Up tho :stressed:

This is a group that would be lost if any one of them were gone.
Their chemistry was crazy.

Very true. No one in that group was meant to be solo.

It's crazy.
Cause Left eye did the rapping, no singing, etc.
And still without her, it all fell apart.
They all were apart of the foundation of the group.

Some straggly ass baby hairs, a six pack and that fetus she aborted?

:plzstop: :plzstop: :kii: :kii:

Their first album is very spotty. Other than the singles and the exception of 2 or 3 songs its forgettable.

Tionne sounded so good on Creep! I don't even think Chilli
Actually sings on that song.. Sort of like No Scrubs where T doesn't sing it. Did you guys ever see Lisa's engagement ring in the Waterfalls video... But her and Andr? got into it so they called it off... I wish the movie covered so much more.. From Lisa being tricked into signing the last contract all the way to the couple of abortions she admitted to having in a S2S interview .. Shit the movie probably would've been a Left Eye movie if they included everything.

I never understood why they used those recycled raps for 3D. Left Eye recorded about 5 new songs with fresh new rhymes but LA said he would save them for future releases.. My favorite album from them has to be CSC... All the songs Lisa wrote for the album didn't make it.. They said she was cursing too much lol.. FanMail was okay. I love the cover and how the girls were painted silver opposed to a Photoshop. Lisa was confusing as hell during that Era. I was shocked Tionne never laid hands on her before.

The only thing I really like about the Later albums is Lisa's deeper tone. The nasaly sound annoyed me.. Except for Ladies Night.. She sounded fine in that

It's interesting because Left Eye wasn't really involved musically with them after CSC, shit they began to diminish her during that era. So to say they were lost without her is kinda a stretch.

I think what happened was the album was released too soon after she passed and they weren't really good performers anyways during that era when it was all about that pop and shock.

I think most people prefer(red) T-Bone and Lisa. Chill' was always my favorite because she's the prettiest, I just like to trash her on here lols.

And im not even being shady, like people loved those two. I didn't even know about that debra killings mess until here and im gonna say the general public doesn't either. We loved the raspy voice and the smooth voice.  Ive literally ON MY LIFE never heard anyone go up for those nursery rhymes before here :plzstop:
