And the thing that they forget to tell you is that every black person wasn't even here for the Civil Rights movement. I've heard stories about other black people saying they thought they were doing too much and ruining stuff for them. Hell my own Grandpa told me that he just kept to himself cause he ain't want no trouble during those times(I don't blame him.)
It's really just a nostalgia thing every generation thinks the new generation is the worse. For example Teen pregnancy is a big issue and my generation has been talked down about it since I can remember, but if you look at the statistics Teen pregnancy is actually happening less than it was in previous generations.
