Title: Am sorry, but I've been really questioning my faith in God lately...
Post by: MAY on July 28, 2016, 06:47:04 PM
Like, I truly want to believe that the Lord is real, but if so why would He
allow Black people to be treated so badly for all these years?

And why does He continuously allow us to be stomped on by these White folks who mean NO ONE any good but themselves?

WHY?

:-(

Everything runs in cycles. Different tribes, nations and peoples have their eras of reign for their amount of time.

In religious defense Jesus died for our sins and according to the Good Book weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Nothing last forever. God controls the heavens. We all have angels protecting us. If there is a battle that Jah simply can't win his only way is to remove you from it (death) and join him in the Kingdom.

I believe he will have something special for us black ppl our time is coming. We are his ppl after all

I've always viewed religion as a coping method for most people. It's not the definitive explanation for everything, just a source of escape from the bullshit life brings.

I don't think the purpose of religion is to find the answers. Also, there's a lot more than racism that should provoke you to question the existence of God.

I can't help but wonder why. Black people have had it so badly, and continue to be stepped on.

Why would such an awesome & powerful God allow so much to happen to one group of people at the hands of another?

I'm sorry, but this is really on my mind.

It's not just racism that's provoked this. I've felt this way for a while,
but the racism I've seen lately has brought these feelings back to the surface.

I've always viewed most religious people as selfish in a way. Like when people are like pray for America or God has America. Why is God watching particular countries and not other and it seems to me like the more secular the country the better off the country is. I mean those African, Asian etc., nations are way more devoutly Christian than America is yet they suffered the most.

Can't the same be said for atheists and Agnostics? People believe what they believe for inherently selfish and self-centered reasons (how something makes them feel or what someone has done to them.) Not disagreeing with what you're saying, just thought I'd add in a counterpoint.

Logically it makes NO sense, but I'd been in church forever as a child, today it still feels wrong to deny God.

But science keeps me together lolz

But seriously there's nothing wrong with feeling the way you do
even the biggest devout Christians have doubts & questions
if you are religious or even spiritual though you should believe that there is an after-life and all of this is temporary.  So if there is a God he probably doesn't see things in the view that we do. Just more souls for him

Jehovah God is not the cause of all this suffering people fail to realize this world is ruled by Satan and his demons and that's why we have so much turmoil going on in the world now because Satan is in control. God will soon eliminate suffering and wickedness but a few things needs to happen before that takes place starting with false religion.

Uhh because they are a stiff necked ppul who and the in addition to ham(not the meat) caused the curses of our people its in deuteronomy 28

31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.

32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand.

33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:

34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.

38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.

39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.

God definitely exists , and there will soon be a day of reckoning as described in the bible as "the day of God's anger ". The world is currently being ruled by the devil, not by God. But God's sovereignty was challenged and questioned at one point,  which is why he's now allowing the person who questioned it ( the devil) to attempt to see if he can do any better . He cannot . One of God's most strongest attributes is justice, and similar to the proceedings that go in the court systems when a person is accused or challenged of a crime , sufficient time and investigation usually takes place before a decision or a judgment is rendered. That's why the world is so bad and horrible now , as it's been since Satan was ousted from heaven and hurled to the earth .  The bible speaks very specifically about events leading up to Armageddon and the last days and everything that is happening now,  is all according to bible prophecy . We are very very very close. Always remember that the way we view time isn't the way God views time. One day to God is as a thousand years , and a thousand years is as one day . In God's eyes , we live a matter of a few hours, minutes even before we die . And it's nothing for him to bring someone back to life at the appointment time. A resurrection of all the dead will take place after the evil in this world is destroyed . The earth aint going nowhere. It's so perfectly and beautifully designed as are we as humans.

Death isn't natural and wasn't part of God's plan , which is why it hurts so much when we lose loved ones. Racism isn't natural , which is why it's so hurtful and destructive to mankind. The devil and his demonic hordes promote this evil, and soon, very soon it will all be eradicated. Good thread.

I'm sorry, but this is really on my mind.

I dont think our sturggles are by Gods will so much as they are our own/the enemy. Honestly tho, ppl are moving further and further away from him and his word. So when the question of "why us?" is presented you have to look at the actions of the ppl.

Ppl ask why God allows hunger/famine to be so widespread in places like India. But India is a nation full of false Gods. They also worship the Cow/cattle (there for consumption) and consider it illegal to kill them. So they, the ppl, not only choose to ignore God but also his blessings. :plzstop:

I just tumbled off this bed and fell onto my knees into a praying position.

ACK!!!!!!

Religion is a money scam

Before we were slaves we didn't even  practice christianity.

It teaches black people to just sit on their ass and praying will do all the work for them

That and the 4th dimension

Once we leave here the "Devil" and all of his wicked things will remain here   And a lake of fire will be created devouring all his mess

I think Lucifer will be redeemed though.
This was his punishment .His ugly shell "the devil" will be ripped away and gone forever.

Just my own mess lol

We were smarter before Christianity. Christianity was used as a tool to diminish our talent, our intelligence, our being, our magic.

Very true .

I believe it was a tool to keep us down.

But God works in mysterious ways and these Bible Parables have enough truth to them to give you a solid foundation for faith.

The ultimate truth is most definitely beyond it.

And Jesus aint some white boi

Christianity first arrived in North Africa, in the 1st or early 2nd century AD. The Christian communities in North Africa were among the earliest in the world. Legend has it that Christianity was brought from Jerusalem to Alexandria on the Egyptian coast by Mark, one of the four evangelists, in 60 AD.

Jesus ain't white but those back who believed in Jesus/Yeshua are who you're talking about. Definitely the savior.

But fast forward to slavery and the religions we have today; it's taken a form of its own.

ray they used tha bible to justify slavery  :omgwatshappening:

Ephesians 6:5:Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

Colossians 3:22:Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

Titus 2:9:Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,

Aside from the heinous historic context of indoctrinated religion, recognizing that most people are literally conditioned to believe in most of it, and that it still serves as one of the primary divisive factors in humanity today, I completely understand anyone having doubts.

It's always so interesting to me when people bring up prayer as a means of resolving/accepting terrible acts. As if men, women, and children all over the world were not praying or had faith when someone took their lives. I mean people were killed at religious sites. Their god didnt protect them. Never has.

I can't help but wonder why. Black people have had it so badly, and continue to be stepped on.

Why would such an awesome & powerful God allow so much to happen to one group of people at the hands of another?

I'm sorry, but this is really on my mind.

:plzstop:

What makes the Christian God more real than there's?

And last time I checked Christian nations in Africa and Asia are doing just as bad as the lower class in India so it can't just be 'They worship the wrong God."

Ur right. Which is why I said you have to look at the actions of the ppl. Just because one claims the title Christian doesn't mean you live, eat and breath it; as evident by the so called Christians in this country alone. I can't assess each individual occurance nor am I supposed to. I do know that being a Christian doesn't mean you are exempt from struggle (something non believers seem to forget). If you're looking for an easy, trail and test free life, Christianity and the spirituality that comes with probably isnt for you. I mean, all 12 of his disciples died heinous deaths in his name. Your faith means nothing if you have no hardship to really test it against. Its those who worship him in their darkest hours who are his real followers. Again these are just my beliefs
