American Idol let a lot of now famous people go
they cut Amber Riley & Naya Rivera who went on to slay in "GLEE"
they cut Colbie Calliet, Hillary who fronts the group Lady Antebellum
Tori Kelly and many more...

I'm pretty sure they regretted those moves too

It's amazing how far he's come.

I remember when he got cut before the live shows on Idol and he was visibly pissed and didn't stay to support the rest like the others who got cut did nmdd

I don't LOVE Kinky Boots, but it is a cute show. Especially the final scene. It's the perfect role for him. He's going to slay and bring some extra pizazz to it. I'm curious to check him out.

Yeah he should have at least been in the top 5, but that was a blessing for he and Tori kelly tbh

that show hasn't done a damn thing for anyone after the first 4 seasons or so
