Has anyone seen it?
I was very pleasantly surprised. I'd always skipped past it assuming I wouldn't be into it, but after seeing the 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and the 3/4 by Roger and Ebert, I changed my mind.
I love movies that expose the humanity in communities that are often overlooked by the general public, and this did just that.
You should check it out.
Also thought it was cool that the entire film was shot on an Iphone.
its in my que .. i too skip it over all the time .. i hear its really good though

It is. You should definitely watch it.
Love that movie!! I watched it like 3 times lol.
*bump*
for anyone who hasn't watched. I, too watched it 3 times already :dead:
It's really kind of brilliant. I'm gonna watch his other movies (Sean Baker writer/producer)
Apparently he uses this same microcosm approach in his other work.
What is it about
It's about two transgendered prostitutes in L.A.
The entire film was shot on an Iphone, but you wouldn't be able to tell.
The premise is that, shortly after her release from jail, one of the prostitutes discovers that her pimp/boyfriend has cheated on her with a real woman, and she sets out on a mission to find him.
It actually reminded me of a more artful, transgendered version of the movie "Friday".
It's quite funny in parts, too.
The music was good as well.

f
that's what made me hesitate to watch it. Not that I'm trans-phobic.
But I feel very distanced from that community.
It was eye-opening, though. Give it a shot.
Im CRINE! I saw two transgendered prostitutes and INSTANTLY was like :usuresis:
I enjoyed it, the ending was really :stressed:
