There is nothing wrong with signing a deal with the "option" for multiple albums, especially one that stipulated she would be paid properly/given a solid budget for recording.
Again, the original contract was not bad and not the legal issue.
The legal issue: Chameleon refuses to honor the contract by paying for her sessions/music to allow her to release a project.
I will state an objective opinion on Brandy in a heartbeat, but this shit is tired.
