Can't even be mad at her, they leave out all the gritty details about slavery but have no problem going over the sick acts in the concentration camps. Textbooks make slavery seem like it was just forced labor and an occasional whipping, they leave out how slaves were mutilated, castrated, fed to alligators as bait etc.

I remember growing up going to a white school. And it was really sick looking back how they taught us about slavery. I vaguely remember a segment about how good they treated the slaves. You would have thought it was a regular fucking 9 to 5.

I remember one year we watched this Martin Luther King Jr. Cartoon and they grouped us all at one table and everyone looked at us everytime they said "black" or "African American."
