Rita Ora is one busy woman. Not only did she just wrap up filming for the next season of ?America?s Next Top Model,? but the 25-year-old starlet is about to finish up work on her sophomore LP, which comes four years after her debut.
In a new interview with the Evening Standard, the U.K. songstress revealed that she?s ?desperate to get [her] music out? to fans, but it?s not the easiest of tasks to take on with her kind of schedule. ?I think I?m now at a point in my life where I have a new amazing label, we really have taken it to the next level. It?s very song-based,? the former Roc Nation signee said of her current situation.
Even though Rita?s catalogue never really caught fire Stateside (?How We Do (Party)? aside), she?s still intent on showing just how much she?s evolved when it comes to her craft. Later on in the chat, Ora spoke about how her forthcoming LP will include plenty of ?real instruments? and ?believable lyrics.?
?I?ve not only grown as an individual but as a woman. People are going to see that,? she explained. ?It?s just everything from my personal life to what I couldn?t do due to previous situations and now being free. I?ve never been freer than I am right now. It?s about everything from being a refugee, from flying in from Kosovo and living in London.?
With her three month filming stint for ?Top Model? out of the way, the entertainer is now in London for the next two months finishing up the LP. ?I?m in London for two months recording every day with my dream team. Then I fly to L.A. to October to finish the album,? she added.
Are we looking at a Q4 release for Ms. Ora? Potentially. With all the showings of a star, it?d finally be her chance to step up and gain recognition for the talents we first learned of from her. Still, there?s no telling where her star might actually land.
