A show this big? This great and Iconic?
This was like the show to WATCH back in the day; and it REALLY helped the Urban community.
I really think BET needs some revamping.
Usher's numbers are truly a testimony that R&B in particular is in a state of emergency. These artists have little to no support or outlet!

And mtv has a show that just started similar to this. The countdown portion is obsolete but performances, interviews, etc

Something like that, but focused on MUSIC would SLAY.
They could highlight up-and-coming artist and veterans alike.
It could be cute.
It could be a slay.
They could have performances be like shows.
Where the public could purchase tickets for the live taping.
Small and intimate.
And then have an Q&A after.
A "behind the song", "behind the album" mess.
And def cater to the R&B artists as much as they can.
It's needed.
They should do something with unplugged again

And make it somehow where people can connect with social media,

it could be live, or prerecorded.
but MTV and BET DO need to bring music videos back to television.

Apple Music should create a Music-related show -- that can be streamed through the current subscription model.
Revenue from each episode where an artist is highlighted should get profit that can help with funding their project, future singles, etc.
The show can highlight the greatest sellers, new comers, veterans...
Showing unplugged-type segments, behind the vocals/booth in-studio segments.

Get a "Mary interviews the artist" type of vibe on it too.

A show like this will be pointless if R&B artists keep putting out subpar music. R&B releases this yr alone have been the pits. Until then, R&B will continue to stifle.

These artists have millions of followers and do promo

I don't know what R&B you listen to but Nao, Chrisette, dvsn, Kehlani, Drake and a lot of others have put out great music.

106 & TRL helped ALL artists promote their release date,
