QuoteBecause the music business is in a state of transformation, a new set of measurements is required to more accurately reflect performance. As the business hits the three?quarter mark of 2016, the old traditional marketshare metrics are less meaningful or comprehensive than sales + streaming (SPS), which the year-to-date chart below indicates.

From an article I read, based upon what Neyo stated... you'd be lucky to walk away with $90,000 from a million selling hit single for sales.
Streaming -- doesn't even hit 2-5k for smash singles.

That's horrible.

I dont really care about the money they make, im not getting a cut :dead:
Music is being consumed in a totally different way now and I'm glad they're accounting for it. Cause people are gonna get music this way REGARDLESS, atleast now it's factored in

That's nice but the discussion was about whether the artists are doing well
it says "Blacks SLAYING!"
and really they aren't because there's no benefit from this
except maybe Bey because hers isn't on the free streaming sites

The discussion was about how BLACK artist are all over the sales PLUS streaming album chart. We don't really care what's on thier checks.
