Unfortunately I only speak 2:
German (first language) and English
I wish I learned a 3rd one when I was a child, cause bbys are highly adaptive of learning languages.
My cousin from Nevada talks to her 9 months old bby in German. I think that's a cool plus for her.
German, English, Spanish, French, Italian fluently and on a conversational basis.
I speak Palestinian Arabic and understand everything but it's not as comfortable for me.
I have basic understanding of Portuguese and Dutch but not fluent.
Learning Persian now.

That is not even true. Many many countries/people only speak/endorse Arabic, German, Spanish or French as a second/foreign language.
English is powerful but not the only communication language to cross over to different countries.

Colonialism really left its traces. All these French speaking Africans, and the hispanized Latin Americans. The Arabs just snatched all the Native North Africans.
