Prince's "The Gold Experience" album came out in 1995 and sounds like a straight up 80ies album. :dead: Especially "319".
MJ's "Blood On The Dance Floor" and "Ghosts" came out in 1997 and still have the New Jack Swing sound, which everyone else already moved on from. :plzstop:
I agree
MJ didn't really catch up until "Invincible" and most of his catalogue hasn't really aged well imo
They were both hit or miss in the 90s I'd say that
i only use them both for their 80s mess
the 90s is where hip hop and r&b really began to shine and i had no interest in hearing some late shit
This is true. "The History Book" was just "dangerous" leftovers. New Jack swing was so dead at that point.
90's is my favorite MJ era, but yeah his music was very out of place for that time. But Michael just stayed true, I can appreciate that. I think this made his mess more timeless than lots of the 90's music.
His 80's music>>>except for Dangerous
"Remember The Time" is a classic, but nothing else really stood out on that album
It's crazy because their female peers were evolving and getting with the times
You Are Not Alone was cute.
Remember the Time>>>>>
Ive never been a huge fan of either

Yea the boys who ran the 80s got lost in the 90s a bit
It's was grans & jans who set the pace in the 90s

Definitely. Prince was so prolific though so there are gems on most of his albums
Well the same can be said for a lot of the 90's artists :dead:
Like Toni.
Her music was horrible in the 2000's

Prince's music is timeless imo. But I agree with Mike to an extent
The Heat & Libra were solid efforts. More Than A Woman is her weakest album in her catalogue by far. Pulse is ok.

Michael kinda got stuck on that sound though
everything afterward sounded just like it

It really does give 80s mess :plzstop: but to be fair, Dangerous was released in 1991.
