So, I have this like weird fear of dying. Not like, Oh I'm gonna die tomorrow!
But just about the fact that all of us are going to die at some point, and it seems like we live never thinking about that reality. Like, one day in some way, we are all going to be dead. And it creeps me the fuck out!
But my question is do you believe in the afterlife? Like, once you're officially booked -- whether natural causes or gunshot wound to the wig -- is it just over? Or do you believe life immediately picks up again in some weird afterlife or alternate state?

I think we're done, boom.
I'm still on the fence whether or not an afterlife exists.
I don't fear death though, it's something that's going to happen.
All I can do is enjoy life and every moment it has to offer -- not anticipate the inevitable.
Mortality is something ive been thinking about a lot this year, especially with the state of society atm. The whole existential thing just began bothering me once I realized that I wont have life again, at least in the same way. Kinda weird but If I were to place my beliefs in anything related to afterlife it would be similar to reincarnation.
The people I love and value most have definitely shared more than one life together in different forms/roles. I believe this comes to an end when you or your significant others really do something that fulfills your purpose and impacts others lives in a helpful way. Then I think the cycle ends and you reach the "afterlife", which I believe looks different for everyone.
Im always on the fence though because sometimes I just believe that nothing happens. That also scares me. I really don't like imagining life, as it exists now, any differently. I love where I am and who is along with me for the journey. I don't want THIS to end, change, or reboot...but it will.
I think about this often. I also think about why I'm here in the first place. Why is their earth? Why do people exist? etc.
But back to what you're saying, I believe in the afterlife. Life is filled with too many coincidences, deja vu's, gut feelings, weird/specials moments for us just to die and that be it.
I believe our energy/soul transforms into something better.
You know when your phone runs out of juice and the screen goes black and basically becomes a lifeless brick?
It's kind of like that.

I love this!
That is amazing. Fulfilling your purpose is such an ambigious phrase. It's hard to really define what it even means when you start breaking it down. Is it personal purpose? And if so, what is the point of living just to personally achieve or learn something? Is it playing a part in someone else learning or reaching something? It's hard to really make sense of it when you start analyzing the definition of purpose as it relates to who we are or how we can trigger change for someone/something else.
Whew!IDK.
Never really thought about either tbh. All I can do is enjoy and appreciate life while I'm here and when it's my time to go it's my time.
But my question is do y'all have life insurance coverage? So many of us walk around without it like nothing can happen today or tomorrow, it's always good to be prepare for these kinds of things. Although I'll be dead I still want my corpse to be properly buried and not tossed like a piece of trash.

I was leaving work like maybe almost a month ago and it was raining
I was turning off a ramp and my truck hydroplaned and I spun around and hit the railing. I was so scared and thought I was a fucking goner. I got out to see what was over the railing and if I had went through it, it wouldn't have been too damn nice. But during all that I had this weird flashback of all my family and loved ones. It was so scary. I really thought I was going to die.

Good question, and not something alot of younger people think about, even though it's the best time to get some. You can get a little 100K policy for like 20 bucks a month before you're 30. Maybe even lower

I've had one since I was 25. I'm with MetLife. And yeah its sad a lot of younger people don't think about these things.
I believe in afterlife, maybe some reincarnation if I still got more lessons to learn. It's all about growing..
I just know there's more out there..last year some psychic on Periscope did a reading for me and he knew everything about me it was kinda scary. It opened my eyes that there's definitely a world out there we don't see and we can't understand. Our family, our friends, even spirits of children..in some sort of dimension without time and place. I don't think I'm ready to hear about any past lives tho, I'm just too busy with this one lol.
:stressed:
This week I put my best friend in charge of my fb after I die (and I'm in charge of his)..I know it sounds crazy but I don't want my family to get any messages about my bday in case I do die sooner than expected. It's nice to take care of these things now (also the policy).

Yeah, I was fortunate enough to work for an organization that offered it. I wouldn't have know about it or how cheap it is otherwise.
The universe is so large they say our SOLAR SYSTEM is like a grain of sand on the beach . That tells you just how intricately and amazingly grand our universe is.
Whatever you believe; those facts alone should lead one to think about the possibility of life on other planets. Scientifically the chances that we're the only life in our solar system are 1 in 60 Billion.
So to think that it all "ends" after the average span of about 80-90 years is quite naive. That's a blip of time on a time stream of billions of years that is seemingly endless.
Earth is a school. We're here to learn and grow and move on to the next.

I honestly believe that one never really dies. I'm one of those individuals that believe once I close my eyes my real life begins. My "dreams" are very vivid and I feel more alive sleep than when I'm actually up in my day to day. It's like my soul is in its natural state. I feel lite and free. I'm invincible. I see all my loved ones that have passed away there and it's like nothing ever changed once they departed the mortal world.

I think when we die we reach another level of conscious
religious people think it's heaven/hell, nerds think it's another planet somewhere in the solar system
freaks think we transcend into 4D beings

I genuinely believe the only purpose of life is that bottom line you are happy and content. To get to a state of when somebody asks you "Are you happy?" you can genuinely and whole heartedly say "Yes, I really fucking am! I'm ecstatic!".

I always thought the way you experience the afterlife(at the end of your cycle) depends on whatever strong emotion you are feeling right before you die.

I think when we die we reach another level of conscious
religious people think it's heaven/hell, nerds think it's another planet somewhere in the solar system
freaks think we transcend into 4D beings
whatever it is I don't believe is the end
What I wonder, though, is if your next state is determined based on the life you lead in this one.

i don't believe in the afterlife despite my my family religion...however i believe we die and reincarnate but lemme stop here :dead: cause my perception is really weird lol
This is something I think about a lot, but at the same time I don't have a concrete answer for exactly how I feel.
Wouldn't we all go to hell for perpetuating Western decadence if there indeed is a judgement day?

The thought of death freaks me out too, but what scares me even more is the thought of my mom passing.
I can't imagine being here in this life without her. I start to get emotional every time I think about it.
She just turned 55, which isn't old by any means, but with her starting to age reality is really setting in.

I kinda embrace the idea of death. You live, you die. Easy enough cycle.

:gorlonfire:
Bae!
LOL
I was leaving work like maybe almost a month ago and it was raining
I was turning off a ramp and my truck hydroplaned and I spun around and hit the railing. I was so scared and thought I was a fucking goner. I got out to see what was over the railing and if I had went through it, it wouldn't have been too damn nice. But during all that I had this weird flashback of all my family and loved ones. It was so scary. I really thought I was going to die.
Man, that's crazy. I'm glad you're ok sis.
The crazy thing is even though we all chat here daily, none of us probably would have known.
You would have just disappeared to us.
We stop existing and just at peace. I don't believe in the afterlife or anything like that. I fear dying alone not really dying itself.

gorl im not a damn tomato
you're not much more than that
When we die , it's like sleep . You aren't aware of your death nor are you conscious of anything at all . No one really knows what happens when you die , except those that are already dead . The problem is you can't ask them because they're dead . .lol
I do believe that death isn't the end of it all though and that whomever or whatever created this marvelous , spectacular planet we live on would also have the ability to take away or restore life . The bottom line is that we as humans are sinful , we are flawed , we grow old , we get sick and we die , but once again there is a powerful creator who can restore life and I truly believe that a large number of those that are now dead will be resurrected at some point . It may not happen in our lifetime or it may very well happen . With how chaotic the world is now , and let's just be honest , it's never been this bad , I think the end of it is very close . Again the earth won't be destroyed but the wicked will be . And there are a lot of people who were wonderful people that have passed on that will be back . We were meant to enjoy life forever down here but something went wrong along the way that will be fixed soon. My opinion.
I Always wonder about The afterlife but I try to just live.
Ofcourse I don't wanna die but I'm not as scared of dying as I used to be.
I'm more scared of not fulfilling my purpose before I die.

Yall need to start meditating and Astral Projecting, changed my perspective forever...
Afros mom told me it was an unforgettable experience.
:omgwatshappening:

I don't like the term 'afterlife' but yea I believe that we're conscious even after our bodies shut down but I think it depends on your mentality when you were on earth and how you lived your life. Like people who think a certain way may stay earthbound while others elevate to the next dimension. And personally I've had an encounter with a dead relative, had a premonition before my car accident and also a dream about a family friend's death months before it happened. All these things aren't coincidental and I definitely do believe that souls are infinite.
and Idk sometimes I feel like I've been here before :kii: It's weird but I've felt this way since I was a kid.
I do believe there's life after or a next phase. I also thought about the possibility of our spirits moving on to a different shell when our flesh dies. I actually try not to think too much about it because eventually my thoughts become negative and morbid af.

u reach it & pass on to watever othr life awaits u (my great nana is chickasaw indian & their beliefs line up wit spiritual mess)
my mother is a buddhist & raised me & my sisters tha same
death isnt sumthin i think 'bout tho because its gonna happen just as naturally as tha sun rises & sets!
no need to think on it, jus live this life to tha fullest!

People don't realize how important having friends and family is.
These stories I hear about people dying and no one finding their body until a month later. It's crazy how disconnected some are from other people.

Reminds me of this movie based on a true story. She was dead in her apartment for 3 years and no one knew. She was only 38.

Yes I think it is all very natural but on earth we can't really understand and it is difficult to lose the people around us.
I think I worry about losing those around me, more-so than my own passing.
And I believe in energy.
Energy can't be destroyed, only transformed.

So, I have this like weird fear of dying. Not like, Oh I'm gonna die tomorrow!
But just about the fact that all of us are going to die at some point, and it seems like we live never thinking about that reality. Like, one day in some way, we are all going to be dead. And it creeps me the fuck out!
Lemme find owt we have things in common DIRTYblonde. Coon.
I think about that all the time.
We're simply occupying a period of time that will eventually come to pass. That realization humbles the fuck out of you, I'll tell you that much. :plzstop: :plzstop:
