Title: The first cousin "bond"
Post by: Scott. on November 29, 2016, 01:41:28 AM
I've heard people always say that first cousins have a stronger bond than other cousins. I have ONE first cousin (my mom was an only child and one of my dad's sisters had only one child) and I can be talking to her about a situation within the family and she'll be like, "Well first of all, you're MY cousin. Well you're also their cousin, but you're my FIRST cousin" and I be like what's the difference lol.

Do you guys believe in this whole "first cousin" bond mess.

Yeah.

My first cousins (brothers) and I touched eachother, jacked off together, watch porn and all sorts of mess when we were younger.

One of them and I even put our mouths on eachothers dicks one time, but just the taste alone was so salty so I had to put a stop to it and go brush my teeth.

My first cousins were like extended siblings to me growing up. We were very close.

We never saw it for the second & third cousins that would come around for the holidays.

Maybe I don't get it because I only one first cousin and she's in her mid 30s. I'm close to most of my second cousins being that we all went to school together and are close in age.

Vvvvv

We love cousins. Even claim kinship with  people who aren't our cousins vvvv
The non-white side of my family does the same, except it's with aunts and uncles. I was crushed when I found out some of my "aunts" weren't really my aunts. :hmph:

Growing up sure but not so much now. More of a nonchalant hi and bye thing.

I kinda agree but for me it's based on who I interact with most
I have 2nd and 3rd cousins who I feel just as close of a bond with as anyone because we grew up around each other
then my first cousins on my father's side I have like no bond with because I only met them like once

For me it had to do with age

I'm the youngest grandchild, I have cousins older than my parents

Most of my cousins my age are 2nd and 3rd

I totally agree! I have a close relationship with most of my second cousins. We all went to school together and grew up around each other. My only first cousin is her 30s and even tho we have a great relationship, it's not the same.

My mother considers most of her first cousins brother and sister, BUT that could be because she was an only child too.

I only kick it with one of my first cousins.
The others and I are just not on the same wave length.
I don't even entertain 2nd cousins.
Didn't grow up with them and I don't feel like they would be ride or die if the situation required it.
