stupid niggers
Not saying that those artist suck or weren't around
But that's really all we have now
v
why is Jay in the now side? :dead: and Bey debuted in the 90's
But Young.... :shannonsmissing: aren't most of the people on the left still releasing music too?
Might not be selling but they're def' releasing and been around since the 90's like jay n bey
I think that's what they're talking about
We had a HOST of famous big name black artists before
Ruling the charts and really owning the industry
Now it's not quite the same
We had a wider range of talent then as supposed to now.
I'm sure people back then felt the same way about the ppl on the "then" list. lol

But there are many great artists if you do a search on Spotify.. They may not be selling records like Bey but I think there is amazing talent out there
This list is a mess sis
:udontlookok:
Why is jay z on the now side?
These dumb ass memes
Wow this backfired a bit.
Alicia...KEYSHIA....Cisus...J. cole, Wale There's a few more heavyhitters!
:rudone:
I hate these fckin memes
Boy, leave this shit on facebook and IG

I hate these fckin memes
!!! probably made by people who were in fucking pullups during that whole 90's era
I think the point was to show the black people who were really big names in music, then vs now. Beyonc? is still a really big name in music, so she's on the right. The "then" list, which I think is supposed to represent the 90s, has some artists that came out in the 80s in it, but they were still really big in the 90s.

Not understanding the confusion and fumes in here
n
This is dumb
Bey didn't leave any kind of impression on the 90s tho..
Well I guess TWOTW does count but I feel like it influenced the early 2000s
The 90's were iconic. So glad I got to grow up and experience some of it.

there's still that wide range of talent NOW just they ain't on the charts....and Bey and Jay don't belong on that NOW list either
Everyone on the now list has given great music and has influenced the culture in some way...

:guys:
but yea.
I think that exactly the issue
We know that.
The fact that they aren't on the charts and dominating the industry is what we're TALKING about
Why does the fact keep getting overlooked
Sure there's a bunch of underground and indie artists with loads of talent
n
G
That was not the point
It was
Why is Monica listed before Brandy and Aaliyah?
e
why is Toni listed before 'bert

Wait
And accorsong to the topic title you knew that already
:guys:
I can't
If you take out Rihanna, Nicki, Future and Chris the list doesn't look so bad really

And the kids of this generation will praise all the ppl on the now list. It's life.
These type of memes are bait for silly debates. That was clearly the intention here
"This group of artists are so much greater than these" or "Look how far we've fallen musically"
I see BLACK EXCELLENCE on both lists. It speaks to how much influence and impact we've had on the music industry and CONTINUE (just look at the first 6 artistd on the NOW list) to have.

This is no different from those memes I see on my feed at least once a week of 4 squares with Janet, Mariah, Whit and then they throw in someone from a completely different generation who is STILL relevant like Beyonce, then ask "Who can u do with out?". Who do u think people will say?
Not about what I wanna do, it's about what's obvious :kii:
I mean Mary's single been #1 for 11 weeks on the r&b charts

That's you assuming it's one of those dumb posts.
And even if it was about perception; my intention clearly was to talk about how beautiful it was to see a hosts of blacks slaying the charts and among us all as household names. (If you don't think it was check page one.)
Ijs :plzstop: seem pretty now to me
