That ain't what I'm saying. I'm saying that's how identified himself, so it shouldn't be a shock.
Yeah I think Bobby often referred to himself as the greatest
Strung out self
I like bobby! He is kinda the original kings lol...
I mean current king is Bert but back in the mid 80's I can see it.

I agree with this. He definitely was at the forefront with the NJS movement
That's what he called himself :dead:
He ain't no King of R&B. But no shade, he was slaying every R&B male artist in the late 80's early 90's before the real KING debuted :blessed:
Bobby Brown had more success as a solo artist than New Edition had as a group :plzstop:

Bobby was the best in his mind, and really could have been something big if he wasn't on crack
If Bobby would've stayed in his peak longer, I wonder if he would have been able to crossover as well as R Kelly did. They definitely would've been good competition.
with the right management, he could have transitioned smoothly into the 90's style, I wonder how that would have affected artists like Ginuwine and Usher tho
Bobby definitely could've crossover hell he was more successful than N.E. as a whole. Drugs plague his career.
Don't Be Cruel is 7x Platinum
Yeah, I'm no Bobby Stan. But give that man his credit.
His crack head ass was SLAYING the charts for a good 2 years or so. :dead:

Just 2 years? :dead: stats kind of don't matter in this instance because a lot of black artists were selling back in the 80's but they never sustained that success. They were just hot for that time period. I never considered Bobby one of the leading men in R&B. If someone were to do a poll on what songs he had I guarantee niggas could name at most 4 songs. His association with Whitney was his saving grace cause no one knows him without it.
Well I mean, Ashanti was only successful for 2 years :dead:
But her success still can't be discredited also.
Yeah, Bobby Brown became a joke after he married Whitney, but that doesn't change the fact that he still had a very big impact on R&B at some point in his career.
Actually he slayed for 4 years
b
Looking at his stats now :sobusyjetsetter:
:ATLcameo:
- He hasn't charted on the hot 100 since 1993 :kii:
- His last album didn't even chart
- He only has two platinum solo albums
He has a 7x's platinum album and a 2x's platinum album
That's a BOOK :letsmessfag:
Longevity >>>>> short term success
At the end of the day no one knows this nigga's music. At most he's getting a spin in a damn CVS.
