Has nothing to do with Bias
Brandy is clearly the headline act and she's performing in a theater in LA
that's pretty good for an R&B artist that's not topping the charts right now

Brandy hasn't had a stateside tour since the 90s. We bout to be in the 20's.

M?A AND GINUWINE GAVE LOS ANGELES A NIGHT OF TRIUMPHANT R&B
Saturday night in downtown Los Angeles, feminine energy was put on a pedestal. The Novo?formally known as Club Nokia?was host to M?a and Ginuwine, and the two legendary voices spent the evening celebrating the triumphs of women, their relationships, and the resilience of old-school R&B.
M?a was up first, and she wasted no time indulging the audience with hits like "Ghetto Superstar" and "My Love Is Like...Wo." Each song was met with a level of enthusiasm that genuinely caught the singer by surprise, exclaiming, "Oh, it's a house party here tonight!" The relationship between M?a and her crowd was symbiotic, with each round of applause creating the type of comfortable and easy dynamic that comes from feeling like you've known someone for more than half their life. While performing "Movin' On," she could've stopped singing completely and the no one would have been the wiser, as the entire audience sang along loudly and proudly.
Throughout, M?a effortlessly switched between her powerhouse vocals and playful banter: "I mind my own business over here," she said, referring to her considerable absence from the U.S. charts. "I'm just waiting for people to catch up." Over the past decade, M?a has seen and overcome her fair share of roadblocks: the release of her fourth studio album, 2007's Liberation, was pushed back several times before being released only in Japan, which resulted in a change in management and the eventual establishment of her own Planet 9 label. M?a's been working her ass off since; her latest release, this year's Smoove Moves, counts as the singer's eighth album.
As such, Saturday night's set list was sprinkled with sage advice about love and self-worth. Seeing M?a live is like having a pep talk with a best friend who pushes you towards unbearable clarity, through painful moments of realization that are rarely reached on your own. She shared her liberation with her fans?and what better way to do so than in her closing gesture, a choreographed chair dance to 2001's iconic Moulin Rouge soundtrack collab-fest "Lady Marmalade."
The vibes intensified as Ginuwine took the stage, his half of the night serving as a lesson in minimalism. Dressed in white layers and gold Cuban Links, Ginuwine didn't require the gimmick of high production?he was the spectacle. His two backup singers guided both the singer and audience throughout the set, creating moments of drama and humor. If M?a's performance reflected the growth that's only possible through pain, Ginuwine's was fueled by the triumph of deserving the good that comes to you.
The set was a non-stop throwback to his biggest hits; "In Those Jeans," "Differences," and "I Need a Girl (Part Two)" elicited screams that exploded each time he threw a sweat-soaked towel into the audience (which happened at least five times by my count) or shed a layer of clothing. Through all the perspiration, Ginuwine took every chance to wax poetic about his audience, championing his single ladies and their journeys.
As the night wound down, just out of sight from the gaze of the crowd, members of the 2015 exotic dancing film Chocolate City could be seen doing shirtless push-ups before, then out they sauntered to grind along to Ginuwine's magnum opus "Pony." The chain of events was unstoppable, a domino effect that quickly transformed the show into a deleted scene from Magic Mike. The dancers jumped into the audience to further their grinding agenda as Ginuwine threw long stemmed roses at his besotted fans. No one was complaining.
