I know a lot of young people tend to neglect their health...
As we're usually focused on our jobs, love-life, social-life, etc.
Do you any of you take the time to make sure your taking care of your mind and body?
Examples:
Sleep, rest, diet, workload, exercise, stress-management, etc.
?
This would have been an interesting topic had it been conveyed differently.

There's broad answers.
We all live different lives.
:dead:
Are you getting enough sleep?
Do you eat well?
All of that affects physical/mental health.

I hope my post didn't come off as disrespectful. You asked a good question, but you opened up with most ppl neglect their health. Didn't really leave room to talk about such a broad topic imo.
Forget it.
:dead:
This is the reason why I asked the question.
I'm noticing a lot of people don't know how to break down the aspects of their mental and/or physical health.

Oh Ok, I understand that.
That was my way of explaining the thread title.
Young adults tend to think they're OK, and not FOCUS on their health as much.
So I'm asking if any of you make your health and wellbeing a priority in your life. No different than looking for a partner, job, etc.
That Kurama member is extremely rude. To be honest. 😑
I don't know how else is phrase it.
If anyone can help me, feel free.
Yes, especially when it comes to rest. Sleep is SO valuable.
And I try to surround myself with positive people. People who like to laugh and have a good time. My mental state is super important to me.I try to stay away from people who think negatively. Sure we all get upset sometimes or whatever but there's no need to dwell on it. All it does is rub off on others and brings you down.

I'm with you!
I do the same thing... surround myself with positive energy.
DEFINITELY
Oh and I like to surround myself with successful people. It really lights a fire under my ass and motivates me.
It's good that you mentioned sleep.
I made this thread cause I've been experiencing some health issues as of late.
I'm fine. I take care of myself in all other aspects: diet, my skin, physically fit, etc.
But the one thing I neglected, was SLEEP.
And my body finally said NO MA'AM. And TOOK ME OUT. Was in the hospital recovering.
My heart was having irregular heartbeats. I have no cardiac issues.
And I was told it was STRESS...
I probably sleep 3-4 hours a night and I'm constantly doing something (work, hanging out) 7 days a week. I don't give myself enough rest...
I have to change that.

Crazy how lack of sleep can affect you mentally/physically. It is so important to give your body that rest.
When I don't get enough sleep I feel like I'm about to damn DIE.

The scary part is... I got used to the 4 hours a night of sleep.
Mentally.
But physically it was taking a toll.
The body needs time to recoup.

Not society, you know?
I enjoy that as well.
I really adore you -- we have similar outlooks.

I definitely agree. Sex, class, orientation, age, etc. All play a role in prioritizing health.
To answer ur question though. I really just started taking my physical health more seriously. I try to routinely go in to see my physician to just to check on things. I think it's because Im started to get UP there in age and things aren't quite POPPIN like the use to.
I went to see a therapist for the 1st time last month, I hope it helps me address some things.
Also I went to see a chiropractor for the 1st time and that was kinda :ohwow: :ohwow: :ohwow: :ohwow:

I have a fat friend and they surround themselves with all fat people. I truly believe its because they feel comfortable and don't feel like they're being judged.

I agree! Socioeconomics and resources does play a role.
And Good for you. It's important to pay attention to your health. And it's funny you say UP in age... cause that's the whole point. The 20s age group be dipping and doing it -- health isn't always in the forefront.
And :ohwow: @ the chiropractor.
I put my health at a top priority almost all the time. Especially physical and spiritual health. I don't play about that :dead:
I want to live a long happy life, so I'm very conscious of my health and body.
Umm yeah
I work too hard and have too many stressful fags in my life to neglect myself
I relax like a motherfucker at night and on the weekends
I'm not gonna age or burn out quickly. Fuck that.
I'm very proactive when it comes to my health. Mentally and Physically. I meditate every morning when I wake up and every night before I go to bed. I make sure that I have proper sleep, exercise, and diet. Drinking water is highly important as well. And if something is bothering me, I have friends that I can vent to and vice versa. Having a support system that have a vast perspective on life is highly important.
And another thing: If anyone have trouble sleeping at night, I suggest taking melatonin at night an hour before bed. It helps support sleep.
Melatonin does the opposite
Don't listen to him guys
